有逾六年記者經驗,近年曾於Esquire Magazine任專題故事編輯,及《香港01》任港聞記者,主力教育新聞,也曾報導香港精神病患家屬支援不足等報導。
近年特別關注兒權心理發展及權益,剛憑關於有特殊教育需要(SEN)學生的新聞報導《01問卷調查:33%小學SEN生遇欺凌不公》,獲得2018年《人權新聞獎》。
本年初起以獨立身分繼續為媒體製作報導,包括《大人》雜誌;同時於香港浸會大學以項目形式任研究助理,主要參加少數族裔研究項目。間中會籌辦活動,以報導分享會、及慈善活動為主。
Kelly Liu is a journalist, researcher and an event organizer. She graduated at the Department of Cultural Studies at Lingnan University, and gained over 6 years working experience as a journalist. She had worked in Esuqire Magazine as a feature editor, as well as in HK01 as a local news reporter. While she was working in HK01, she mainly focused on Children’s rights and their mental health development. She was awarded by Human Rights Press Awards 2018 with her news report about SEN (Special Educational Needs) students.
Recently, she quitted HK01 and is working as a project-based journalist, researcher and event organizer. She is writing for some presses now including a local magazine targeting elderly and their families. Meanwhile, she is assisting in an academic research about Ethic Minorities in Hong Kong at HKBU.
