楊秀卓畢業於香港大學藝術系及比較文學系。曾是一位活躍於八、九十年代的藝術家。人到中年，辭去做了十八年的會計工作，浪遊歐州十五個月。回港後一貧如洗，從返大學讀書，跟相差廿多年的同學一齊上課。畢業後，投身教育，一教又是十八年。相信藝術可以改變世界，相信藝術教育可以為學生充權。至今依然堅持這個信念，未來也會。
Graduated at HKU Art Faculty (Comparative Literature Department). Yeung was once an active artist in the 80’s and 90’s. At the age of 37, he quitted his job as an accountant, and wandered around in Europe for 15 months. No money left when returned back HK, he decided to resume studies at the University, and sat by the sides of the teenagers. After graduation, he devoted himself in teaching art for another 18 years. He believes in Art’s power to change the world, and how art education can empower people.
